So what is Soak 'n' Go?
Is it like Shake 'n' Vac? (With apologies to the powdered carpet freshener!)
Well… maybe – we’re shaken by the Holy Spirit, and then we go to clean-up the dirt of the enemy’s activities!
Is it like Plug 'n' Play? (With apologies to computer device configuration!)
Well… maybe – we plug into God’s power, and play in His river of delights!
Is it like Wash 'n' Go? (With apologies to the shampoo!)
Well… maybe – we get washed by the blood of Jesus, and go out to reach the lost!
Is it like Up 'n' Under? (With apologies to the Rugby League!)
Well… maybe – we’re seated high up in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, and we’re under His authority!
Soak 'n' Go?
Soak: resting and bathing in God’s presence, worshipping Him, loving Him, letting His love flow over us, letting His grace wash through us, letting His forgiveness set us free, singing to Him, speaking in tongues, listening to what He is saying, talking to Him, interceding on behalf of the lost in Cambridge, resisting the enemy, declaring God’s victory and authority, proclaiming freedom to the captives etc. etc.!!
Then, and only then, is it
Go: going out to where the lost are thronging, hurting, searching, aimlessly wandering, searching for escape, asking questions, stumbling through life without God, heading unwittingly towards an eternity without God.
